Fashion Police: Noah Cyrus Looks Like Big Sister Miley
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities,
Well, it would appear as if Noah Cyrus’s Halloween drama didn’t teach her anything about dressing her age. (Then again, she is Miley’s sister.)
The 10 year-old was spotted with her mom and older, more famous sister wearing questionable short shorts and a tank top revealing her bra. Judging by their smiling faces, it looks as if Mom approves! While some may argue that she’s just trying to dress like a normal kid, I would bet that there’s a classier version of casual at Kitson’s for girls her age.

Jean Paul Gaultier to Unveil Furniture Collection
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Fashion Designers, News,
French designer Jean Paul Gaultier is to launch his own furniture line. The designer has teamed up with interiors firm Roche Bobois to create the range, which will maintain his sexy signature style.
“For me, life is all about self-expression, whether it’s on your body or in your home,” he told the New York Post.
According to Gaultier, the collection - which will be unveiled on Thursday at New York’s Kips Bay Decorator Show House - features “a sectional sofa with sex appeal: mattress-like modules that incorporate my signature tattoo prints and sailor stripes, as well as a portrait of lovers who are about to kiss. This sofa brings the bedroom into any room in your house.”
Joan Collins Frowns Upon Plastic Surgery
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Actress Joan Collins thinks women who have cosmetic surgery look “ghastly.”
The 77 year-old doesn’t see the appeal of going under the surgeon’s knife and finds it “terrifying” people will go to so many lengths in a bid to hold on to their youthful looks.
“Women who turn to cosmetic procedures look ghastly. They don’t look like themselves. I quite like the way I look, I’m quite happy with the way I look and I really don’t want to change it. In front of the camera my skin probably isn’t nearly as good as it used to be. But, I mean, what the hell, everybody’s got to get older. I think there’s something rather terrifying about people who are in their 50s or 60s trying to look 30 or 40.”
Joan also hit out at today’s female celebrities, saying they need to look more glamorous. “When I was young, everybody on screen was gorgeous. I have to say, there aren’t that many good looking actresses around today. I mean, there’s Angelina Jolie and there’s… Angelina Jolie. Jennifer Aniston is cute, but I wouldn’t call her beautiful. She’s no Ava Gardner or Lana Turner. I think that is why Cheryl Cole is so popular, because she is just so pretty and the public are starved of gorgeous people.”
Quote of the Day: Cathy Horyn Defending Her Words
Posted by Robin Paulson Categories: Celebrities, Editorials, Fashion Designers, Fashion Shows, News,
“We have standards. We want people to be not just good but very good. And I can be tough on people, sometimes too tough, especially with the most creative. I once called one of Tom Ford’s collections freakish and ugly.”
- New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn, explaining why she may not say the nicest things about what designers create or what celebrities are wearing.

Lauren Conrad Avoids Certain Trends
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers,
Lauren Conrad admits there’s “probably a million things” she can’t wear.
The former Hills star says there are many trends which don’t suit her, and urges other women to stick to their look and body type when choosing their wardrobe.
“I think the best style advice I’ve ever been given was to flatter your own body. A lot of trends come out and they’re not necessarily for everyone. There’s probably a million things I can’t wear. I can’t wear high waisted jeans. They look fabulous on some people, but it’s also a good example of how you’re not always supposed to slavishly follow every single trend - just the ones that look nice on you.”
Lauren also opened up about her wardrobe staples, rating jeggings, skinny jeans and baggy sweaters as her most sought after items.
“I love oversized sweaters, but I like them with a lighter weight, so I usually buy a lot of my sweaters a couple of sizes larger. Then I can wear them with a skinny jean or a leather legging. I love maxidresses, especially if they’re long enough to be worn with a heel because they make you look much taller. Skinny jeans or a jegging are definitely a staple - I wear them most days. I also love wearing either minidresses or miniskirts.”

Justin Bieber Nails Wal-Mart
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Health & Beauty,
Justin Bieber is releasing a range of nail polishes.
The 16-year-old Canadian heartthrob is planning to launch the range - exclusively to Wal-Mart ahead of a further release in Target and Sears - in December, with colors inspired by his hit singles. Among the planned shades are “One Less Lonely Girl” (lavender), “Give Me The First Dance” (silver), “Step 2 the Beat of My Heart” (glitter) and “Me + Blue” (dark blue). A total of six colors will be released in December before a further eight in January.
The nail polish is the latest in a long line of Justin Bieber-themed products - the “Baby” singer already has a bedding range, dolls and toys. He is also one of the faces of spot cream Proactive alongside Jessica Simpson and Katy Perry.
Speaking about the acne-fighting product, Justin revealed he uses it to keep himself clean ahead of his busy work schedule: “I know that for a teenager, it doesn’t matter how many people are looking at you, you don’t want acne on your face. I’m in the limelight all the time. I’m constantly doing interviews, constantly doing photo shoots and, you know, I’m determined to keep myself clear. Using Proactiv will help that.”

Lauren Conrad to Launch New Designs on MTV
Posted by Andru Edwards Categories: Celebrities, Fashion Designers, Fashion Shows, News,
Lauren Conrad is to launch her new fashion line on her upcoming reality TV show.
The former The Hills actress - who has created collections for Kohl’s in the past - revealed her new high-end range will be debuted on her MTV reality show, but the 24-year-old star has admitted she is ready for the “stress” which will undoubtedly come alongside designing the new line.
“We’re in the very beginning process. We just submitted all of our tech packs for samples, so it’s in the very early stages. It will get stressful after this, when you’re dealing with deadlines, and you’re dealing with production and the possibility of a fashion show. That’s kind of when all the stress comes in. So, right now we’re just picking colours and doing samples.”
Lauren - who began her fashion career working as an intern for Teen Vogue in Los Angeles - also revealed she has enlisted the help of her friends to create the collection, which consists of a whole host of wardrobe “basics.”
“We haven’t started filming yet, so stay tuned! But my roommate and one of my best friends are running the company, the business end, and another one of my good friends, Gary, is doing kind of the creative direction. I do a lot of basics, so we have a great blazer, a high-waisted black skirt and biker jacket, and all those pieces can be traded throughout. It’s a lot of layering, a lot of switching-up, so you can get more mileage.”
